At the end of August 2014, the first extrusion press that Turla delivered to the German market started production. The 18-MN press extruded its first billet at the Neumunster plant of Nordalu, a subsidiary of the Gutmann Group. The complete extrusion line supplied by Turla replaces an 23-MN extrusion press and helps improve the ecological footprint. Market evolution makes customers more and more sensitive to environmental issues, and Turla has developed a series of 'green' products that satisfy these requirements - not least to a close cooperation with customers that are involved in challenging markets, such as automotive, railway and aerospace, and with customers involved in building systems and willing to improve their productivity.
