Constellium gets bid for extrusion mills Downstream aluminium company Constellium has received a binding offer for two of its extrusion plants in France from private equity firm OpenGate Capital. The plants, located in Ham and Saint-Florentin, specialise in making aluminium extrusions for the building and construction sector. Los Angeles-based Open-Gate meets all of Constellium's criteria for a purchaser, including financial strength, an understanding for the company's businesses and the ability to develop its facilities. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Constel-lium would respond to the offer after it had consulted with employee representatives and addressed other pre-sale conditions, including regulatory approval.
