摘要

The European Commission has approved the joint venture of the aluminium extrusion and building systems operations of Sapa and Hydro, owned 50/50 by Orkla ASA and Norsk Hydro. The transaction has already been approved by the US and other authorities, and final completion is now subject to a decision from the Chinese authorities. Due to limited overlap of Sapa's and Hydro's operations in China, the parties expect the transaction to be approved. Closing is expected to take place during the third quarter 2013.
