Since the beginning of this year the former IST Industrieofen + Stranggiess-Technik GmbH has been a member of the Kuettner group. The company is fully integrated into Kuettner under the trade name IST Technology and is extending the 'Non-ferrous Industries' division by the new-build and modernisation business of melting and casting units specially designed for the aluminium industry. In a talk with ALUMINIUM the former IST managing director, Christian Hamers, now vice-president Aluminium, explained the advantages of merging under a broader corporate canopy and spoke of the most recent successes in project activity.
