Over recent years Emirates Aluminium (Emal) has established a reputation as a reliable supplier of quality metal products to the world. Rising from the bare desert sands of Abu Dhabi, the company has invested heavily in the latest technologies to create a state-of-the art aluminium smelter ready to compete with the best in the global market place. Apart from building a third potline for almost doubling primary aluminium production to 1.3 million tonnes a year, the expansion project includes investments in the smelter's casthouse to produce extrusion billets, among others.
