Hydro will close one of two casthouses at its plant in Ardal, Norway. The company has announced that it will stop the remelting of cold metal for aluminium products at Ardal, while continuing with finished products based on primary production. Ardal's two casthouses produce sheet ingots and foundry alloys (PFA).
