A modern aluminium smelter depends on the continuous supply of the pre-baked anodes, which requires the following independent production and operation facilities: 1. The Green Anode Plant (GAP) which mixes the raw materials for carbon blocks and presses them into the proper shape for the given technology 2. A bake furnace plant including anode bake furnace (ABF), Fume Treatment Plant (FTP), Furnace Tending Cranes (FTAs) and firing systems.
