Aluminium producers in the Middle East are well placed to benefit from any recovery in the aluminium market, thanks to their low-cost production and more secure access to financing. Smelters planned for the Gulf region will enjoy lower production costs than the industry average, in some cases nearly 30% lower than the world's highest-cost producers.
