Vimetco's CEO Christian Wiist has resigned with effect from 5 January. He will remain available to assist the company for a period of up to six months to facilitate a smooth transition. Pierre Baillot, Vimetco's Chairman of the Board of Directors, has assumed the role of interim CEO.rnR&D Carbon Ltd appointed Dominik Berchtold CEO of the company as of 1 February. Werner Fischer will remain President of the Board of Directors of the company.rnJim Leng, a non-executive director, has resigned from the boards of Rio Tinto with immediate effect and will therefore not take up the post of Chairman of the boards in April as previously planned. At the request of the Boards, Rio Tinto's current Chairman, Paul Skinner, has agreed to remain as Chairman until mid-2009, by which time it is anticipated that a successor will be appointed. The process to appoint a new Chairman is underway.
