In the potroom, ECL's Pot Tending Machines (PTMs) working on the electrolysis pots are among the vital elements in the primary aluminium production process. These cranes are equipped with specific tools for the anode changing procedure, and they need operators with a good level of dexterity and practise to drive them safely and efficiently. The training of new recruits at start-up is a long and costly process.
