摘要

Refining process is one of the most important stages of aluminium production. In this paper the critical review of refining methods and refining units were carried out including the method of refining gas introduction (from the porous plug - Dufi, through the nozzle of special construction - Fild, Mint and the various types of rotary impeller - Snif, Alcoa, Alpur, GBF, RDU, AFD) and hydrodynamics condition during this process (flow rate of refining gas and the rotary impeller speed). The characteristic and the basic information about existing mathematical models which describe aluminium refining process by purge gases were also presented.
