摘要

For its 2017 annual survey, the Associated General Contractors (AGC) found that even more employers anticipate difficulty finding and retaining qualified help than they did last year. The AGC is a big proponent of increased funding in schools around the nation - to enhance and inspire the next generation of construction and transport workers. As Josh Cable pointed out in a recent piece for Body Shop Business, at the end of 2016, there were 325,000 job openings in U.S. manufacturing, out of 5.5 million total job openings (according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics). And about 75 percent of those job openings don't require a four-year degree.
