The World Crane & Transport Summit, November 10-11, in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, built on the success of the previous Summit in the same city two years ago. As a keynote speaker at the Summit's opening session, SC&RA Executive Vice President Joel Dandrea presented a global industry snapshot.He noted that member sentiment at the time of the presentation was split fairly evenly three ways. One third of the members said they were exceeding all expectations, with a number of them showing backlogs. And they were generally optimistic in their 24- to 36-month growth projections. Another third said they were relatively stable; for many, that's an improvement over where they expected to be a year ago. The other third continued to experience considerable volatility, but they are still fighting.
