The Westcon Co. had quite the job ahead of it. At the floating dock in the Harbor of Olen, near Haugesund, Norway, a set of old cranes needed to be swapped out with new cranes that were a little high maintenance, to say the least. "When we first approached the Nordic Terex Cranes distribution center in December 2008, we were facing a challenging situation," said Arne Matre, Westcon's operations manager. "The old cranes had to be replaced and the new cranes had to adapt to an existing quay portal setup consisting of a floating dock and traveling unit equipped with rails at two different heights."
