The Maryland Department of Labor published the final action of the state's new crane safety regulations back in April 2009. Maryland Occupational Safety and Health (MOSH) began issuing citations or sanction civil penalties for any apparent violation involving the new requirements of the regulation on January 1, 2010.rnThe regulation applies to all cranes and crane operators, signal persons, riggers, crane operator trainees and erection, operation and dismantling of cranes used in construction and demolition.
