Telescopic crawler cranes have sort of always been a rare breed. During the beginning of market development, there were very few manufacturers, and even today, only a handful of major players remain: Mantis (now owned by Tadano), Link-Belt and Liebherr. The market, while quite small and niche, is still a market, however, and unlike many other sectors of the crane and construction industry, it hasn't been hit too hard by the economic downturn.
