Palfinger's new Power Link Cable winch is a tiltable cable winch on the main boom of the Palfinger high performance crane series. Mounted on a tiltable console instead of directly on the main boom, the console is shifted hydraulically from transport position into operating position by means of a tilting cylinder.rnA linkage system, the Power Link, reuerses the direction of the linear cylinder movement and is operated by remote control. It is available in 2.5 ton or 3.5 ton cable winches.rnA big advantage, the company says, of the new cable winch concept is the low crane height, during both transport with unfolded boom and during the use of crane within buildings. The hydraulic tilt mechanism can be operated by remote control.
