It is well known that when a DM is endowed with a choice correspondence that satisfies Sen's α and β axioms, then the SPNE and BI strategies coincide for all decision problems. Moreover, in multiplayer games, if each player is endowed with a choice correspondence that satisfies Sen's axioms, then the set of SPNE and BI strategy profiles coincides. However, the above result is not true if choice correspondences do not satisfy Sen's α and β. There is no systematic treatment of how subgame perfection and BI are related for arbitrary violations of Sen's α and/or β.
