Two new species of Alsophila and four of Cyathea (Cyatheaceae) are described and illustrated: Cyathea zongoensis, C. arnecornelii and C. carolihenrici from Bolivia; Alsophila minervae and A. mostellaria from Peru and Bolivia; Cyathea xenoxyla from southern Colombia to central Bolivia.
