1. We have revised our forecasts upwards with real GDP to grow by 2.3% in 2020, up by 2% previously forecast. 2. This will bode well for Food & Drink Spending which is forecast to increase at an even higher rate, growing on average by 4.5% per annum. 3. A number of Mass Grocery Retailers are investing heavily on three main categories: Discount stores such as cash & carry and wholesalers, convenience stores and the development of dark stores for e-commerce.
