We have identified three alcoholic drink trends across the wine, beer and spirits sectors that we believe will be the key growth drivers over the coming years; Rosé continues to be the big growth story in the wine industry. Traditionally regarded as a cheap, lower-quality offering, consumer perceptions of rosé are changing rapidly, led by wines from France's Provence region, which have a premium price point, palercolour and are typically much drier in taste than generic rosés. In markets such as the US, UK and Germany, rosé aligns with growing consumer interest in exotic Mediterranean-influenced lifestyles, gaining resonance among millennials in particular who tend to be more open to discovering different brands/product categories.
