1.At Fitch Solutions, we believe that the recent launch of OXXO in Brazil, which already gains wide popularity in other LatinAmerican countries including Chile and Peru, will be able to capitalise on the growing demand for convenience retail in Brazil,which has been emerging over the last few years.2. Brazil presents an attractive market for convenience retail development, driven by the country's large urban population, whichaccounts for 87.2% of the total population (185mn) in 2020, the largest in Latin America.3. In addition, Brazil’s employment rate will start to recover beyond the Covid-19 pandemic, which will support disposable incomegrowth and increase the number of time-sensitive consumers over the coming years, and thus supporting demand forconvenience retail.
