1. At Fitch Solutions, we believe that Guatemala presents opportunities for the development of e-grocery services over the medium term (2021-2025). 2. The country benefits from strong fundamentals including: high and rising Internet penetration rates, a young and growing population as well as relatively high spending on food and drink per capita compared to the rest of the Central America region. 3. While Guatemala offers e-grocery and food delivery investors attractive consumer fundamentals, we highlight that the country has limited urbanisation and a relatively weak logistics network.
