1. At Fitch Solutions, we forecast consumer spending on alcoholic drinks to pick up in the Bahamas in 2021, in part driven by the start of a recovery of the country's tourism industry. 2. While beer will continue to dominate the market over the medium term (2021-2025), accounting for over 75% of the total alcohol consumption, we note of opportunities within the wine sector, which is forecast to be the fastest growing alcohol segment. 3. We already note of alcohol 'direct-to-consumer' (DTC) initiatives as a way to navigate the Covid-19 pandemic and note of the potential for this to be developed over the medium to longer-term.
