The Latest: On September 7 2021, Alternative protein company Impossible Foods announced the launch of its latest product,the Impossible Chicken Nuggets. Similar to its flagship product Impossible Burger, the Impossible Chicken Nuggets are made fromsoy protein. However, the company’s plant-based chicken nuggets do not contain heme, a chemical compound that requiresregulatory approval, which should facilitate international expansion. For, now, the company will adopt a two-prong approach inlaunching its newest product, both via food services and mass grocery retail in September 2021. Impossible chicken nuggets will beavailable in restaurants, such as Fatburger, Dog Haus as well as in over 10,000 grocery stores, including Walmart, Kroger andAlbertsons. The plant-based chicken nuggets will retail at USD7.99 for approximately 20 pieces.
