Earlier in 2014 (see 'Bourbon To Outperform Scotch In 2014 ExportrnGrowth,' July 15), we discussed our view that the export growthrnprospects for bourbon whiskey – the dominant whiskey categoryrnin the US – would be stronger than scotch (from Scotland) in 2014.rnScotch as an industry is likely to benefit from the stability broughtrnupon by the 'no' vote, since the referendum was a major source ofrnuncertainty, particularly with regard to the impact Scottish independencernwould have had on the pound.
