The US Wine Institute, the trade association for Californian producers,nhas unveiled its 2011 figures for the US wine industry andnthey point to buoyant domestic demand. The figures, compiled bynwine industry consultant Jon Fredrikson of Gomberg, Fredriksonn& Associates, indicate a 5.3% increase in total sales, which reachedn347mn cases. This is ahead of our forecast for growth in the regionnof 3% and indicates buoyant underlying demand despite the economicnbackdrop.
