As with many other subjects, there are myriad ways to organise material for a course on mathematical biology. Neither a designated list of topics nor a best way to balance biological motivation/interpretation and mathematical methodology does exist. The background and interests of both the lecturer and the students are decisive factors when determining the structure of the course.
