摘要

A wireless ad hoc network consists of wireless nodes communicating without the need for a centralized administration. This paper reports the simulation results of four scenarios for wireless ad hoc networks (five nodes). The performances of proposed networks are evaluated in terms of number of hops per route, delay, and throughput with the help of an OPNET simulator. Channel speed 5.5 Mbps and simulation time 600 sim-seconds were taken for all scenarios.rnFor the above analysis, an ad-hoc on-demand distance vector (AODV) routing protocol was used. The results obtained from the analysis are compared with a similar experimental setup as proposed by H. Hallani et al. [5]. It is observed that the simulation results closely resemble the experimental results reported by H. Hallani et al.rnFurther we have simulated a large ad-hoc network consisting of 30 nodes, and its performance analysis in terms of throughput and delay with different hops are compared inrnFigures 8, 10, and 11.
