WE'VE ALL HAD TO RETHINK how we do just about everything in these pandemic days, and joining or viewing webinars is another creative option for learning or continuing education. AOPA's You Can Fly and Air Safety Institute teams have created more than 35 webinars that you can join live or access through an archive. Topics are wide-ranging for any need-reviewing weight and balance, preparing for checkrides, how to buy an airplane. Especially popular is the "Don't Get Rusty" series in which industry experts help you stay up to date if you are grounded. These topics include weather, emergencies, new ratings, and more. Check the website to register for upcoming webinars such as "Now We're Playing with Gas: Practical Conversations about Fuel Systems" scheduled for March 11, 2021, noon to 1 p.m. Eastern time. Special guest You Can Fly Ambassador Jamie Beckett will discuss practical tips about fuel systems. But if you're like many of us and hesitant to join a live online class (after a year of Peloton riding, I still haven't taken a live class!), all the webinars are archived and available to view (webinars.aopa.org). These classes also qualify for FAA Wings credit.
