Pilots who have used DTC DUAT or who currently use CSC DUATS have a new option for direct user access terminal service. Lockheed Martin's website introduces convenient features and services that go beyond what you might expect from an FAA online services provider. Like other providers, Lockheed's service provides standard, outlook, and abbreviated weather briefings. You can also schedule a briefing to be emailed to you with the content that you specify. Other flight planning helpers on Lockheed's web portal are unique: for instance, a departure planning tool that offers a graphical summary of conditions along your route, an altitude advisor, and a route planner. The route planner can select IFR low-altitude airway routings for you, allow you to select FAA preferred routes, or let you choose from recent ATC assigned IFR routes.
