Apparel: RFID has come a long way from just a "slap and ship" model. Can you share some of the benefits that source-tagging provides over more traditional approaches to the technology?rnPUTTA: RFID is all about data, accuracy and visibility. Source tagging ensures that the right tags - encoded with the right EPC - are attached to the right garments, ensuring accuracy as early on in the process as possible. Suppliers are already used to attaching tags to garments, and it's efficient to RFID source tag as well.
