This paper investigates the mean first-passage time (MFPT) of second-order and under-damped asymmetric bistable model. The second-order asymmetric bistable model with Gauss white noise is stochastically equivalent to two-dimensional Markovian process. The expression of the stationary probability distribution is obtained and the explicit expression of the MFPT of the system is derived under the adiabatic and weak noise conditions. Numerical results show that the damping parameter γ and noise intensity D play opposite roles in the state transition, and the influence of the asymmetry constant on MFPT T_+ and T__ is entirely different.
