摘要

Metal complexes are often used for the catalytic oxidation of organic substrates and in the catalytic cycles, i.e, the metal ions alternate between two oxidation states. Some common catalytic one electron couples are Cu~(2+)/ Cu~+ , Co~(3+)/Co~(2+), and Mn~(3+)/ Mn~(2+) , while two electron processes have been observed with Pd2+/Pd. The metal ions having catalyzing effects are being employed in redox reactions involving transition metal complexes. Cu (Ⅱ) plays a very important role as a catalyst. It acts as a catalyst in the reaction of hydrogen peroxide with hydrazine or hydroxylamine [1] and oxidizes the iodide ion to iodine by the vanadium (V) ion [2] and chromate(VI) ion [3] in an aqueous solution.
