摘要

Famotidine is an effective inhibitor of gastric acid secretions. The formation of copper(Ⅱ) complex with famotidine has been studied spectrophotometrically at an absorption maximum of 638 nm at different temperatures. The data shows that copper(Ⅱ) and famotidine combine in the molar ratio of I: I at pH 5.0. The stability constants of the complex were calculated to be 2.55 ×10~4, 2.38 ×10~4, and 2.50×10~4 by continuous variation method and 1.31×10~4, 1.31×10~4, and 1.26×10~4 by mole ratio method at 25, 40, and 50 ℃, respectively.
