摘要

This is an experimental and demonstration office having the objective of creating and bringing into widespread use next generation workspaces that achieve both global environmental conservation and intellectual productivity. The aim is to realize a zero-energy building (ZEB) as a stand-alone multi-story building, which are considered to be necessary in urban areas in order to construct a sustainable society. The light and air environmental control is a system that combines both automation and individual selectivity, to achieve both ultra high energy efficiency and high satisfaction. Various possibilities for the use of natural energy will be explored, such as veranda balconies that induce natural ventilation, installation of natural lighting devices using the void space on the top of the building, and built-in solar panels on the wail surfaces. Various data will be collected from experiments on methods of use for the best mix of technologies for energy efficiency and generation and use of natural energy, and the relationship between the light and air environment and intellectual productivity, and the results will be fed back into schemes, technologies, and simulation. In order to facilitate change of equipment and devices, an inverted beam structure that produces ample under floor space, unit sashes that can be changed to achieve various environmentally friendly external walls, metal panel interior walls that can be easily replaced, etc., were provided for the structure and finishes, to promote renewal of technologies. In addition a new-era sustainable building was created in which in addition to urban-style small displacement seismic isolation, environment, architecture, services, and the method of use are linked.
