摘要

In the pilgrimage road leading to the Kumano three mountains from Kyoto as a "gateway", enter into Nakahechi of the mountains from the Kii path along the sea. Tanabe City has flourished since ancient times. Tanabe City Cultural Exchange Center "Tanaberu". which consists of History and Folklore Museum and Library is located in the middle of Tanabe Bay and JR Kiitanabe Station .the center of Tanabe city. In consideration of the location, this building has the different look. The mountain-side (East) face is with regional characteristics and history, and the sea-side (West) face is with opened brightly leading to Ohgigahama.
