The Newcastle Division Annual Dinner was held on Friday, 20 June at Customs House, Newcastle. It was a great evening, attended by more than 100 people including special guests the Lord Mayor of Newcastle, Councillor John Tate and his wife Cathy Tate. President of the NSW Chapter, Deborah Dearing also attended with Chapter Manager Roslyn Irons. Journalists from the Korean publication Space Magazine were there filming and researching a story on Professor Philip Cox, the evening's keynote speaker. Our thanks to Professor Cox and the sponsors: Marline, MPC Consulting Engineers, Rider Levett Bucknall and Armstrong World Industries. Newcastle has wrapped up the fourth year of the Practice of Architecture Lecture Series, delivered over four consecutive Saturdays. Feedback from the 12 participants about the quality of speakers and presentations was positive and the Division thanks all the professionals who gave up part of their weekend to be involved.
