The manufacturing industry in China has been lively, and reflecting high interest in the automation of production, active investments in manufacturing equipment have been continuing. Trade tensions with the United States have so far not caused special changes in the Chinese manufacturing industry although concerns lie on future developments. NEPCON South China, an exhibition of manufacturing equipment, which was held from Aug. 26 to 28 at the Convention Center in Shenzhen, China, was bustling with a huge number of visitors daily. Issue on U.S.-China Trade Relations On the issue of U.S.-China trade conflict, Kentaro Kono, Executive of Japan Unix Co., Ltd., says, "Although the developments in the U.S.-China trade tensions are a concern, at present, impacts on our business cannot be recognized. China is an important market for our company's global business. Many products of our company are designed for China's domestic demand."
