ROHM Co., Ltd. cultivates the Sub-GHz band wireless communication market in China through cooperation with local companies in China, including module manufacturers. ROHM started in Dec. 2015 to sell a Sub-GHz band wireless communication LSI in China. The LSI was developed by LAPIS Semiconductor Co., Ltd., a ROHM Group company, and has been adopted in smart meters and other systems around the world, including Europe. ROHM also plans to supply wireless modules fitted with the LSI that will be produced by the company's local Chinese partner manufacturers in accordance with user needs.
