TAIWAN and UNITED STATES - MediaTek, Inc. has signed an agreement to purchase the Othello radio and SoftFone baseband chipset production lines of Analog Devices, Inc., (ADI) as well as certain cellular handset baseband support operations. The deal amounts to US$350 million. These product lines contributed around US$230 million on ADI's revenues for FY2006.
