The 13th edition of the ABU Digital Broadcasting Symposium (DBS) was officially opened by the Malaysian Deputy Minister of Communications and Multimedia, YB Dato' Jailani Johari. The Deputy Minister said that "Over the years this symposium has grown to be a well-recognised event within the region and the media industry. It provides broadcasters and other media stakeholders with a valuable opportunity to know and experience the cutting-edge technologies and related service developments from around the world. It gives a platform for media professionals to network with eminent experts and like-minded colleagues."
