摘要

The seminar was held in Islamabad (9th - 11th April) and seven participants represented broadcasting organisations including the ABU. The objectives of the seminar were to disseminate information and facilitate the exchange of views on convergence of telecommunications and broadcasting technologies. At the opening ceremony messages from H. E the President and the Prime Minister were read and the Secretary, Ministry of Communication declared the seminar open. Experts from telecommunications and broadcasting presented the latest information about related developments in their countries and expressed views on convergence and its effects on developing countries.
