摘要

Faced with a challenging demand environment in Australia and nNew Zealand, TWE’s wine demand in these markets was weighed ndown by weak consumer sentiment, household debt deleveraging nand declining home prices. That said, demand conditions in the nAustralian and New Zealand wine markets were comparatively bet-nter than in the US and UK over H111 (end-December). However, nTWE has largely struggled to translate its volume gains into rev-nenue growth in these markets due to intensifying competition from nAustralian retailers. The likes of Woolworths and Wesfarmers are nramping up their portfolios of private label wine brands, in turn nfuelling price competition across the wine market and dampening nTWE’s revenue gains.
