A brewery set up by Cambodian brewer Khmer Brewery is due to nlaunch on November 1. The brewery is funded and commissioned nby Cambodian construction materials and consumer products sup-nplier Chip Mong Group. Khmer’s expansion is illustrative of its nconfidence in the Cambodian beer market growth story and it aims nto produce 1-2mn hectoliters of beer annually. Although per capita nbeer consumption levels in Cambodia remain relatively low, the ndomestic beer market is quickly expanding due to a proliferation nof the beer culture among local consumers. Signs of consumer nuptrading are increasingly apparent in the Cambodian beer market nand consumers’ growing demand for quality should serve to fuel ngreater momentum in overall beer sales.
