The burgeoning satellite communications business has increased significantly the number of users of satellite systems. Consequently, the probability of interference or illegal use on satellite transponders is an ever-increasing problem - although few operators would be willing to openly admit the problem. DERA, in collaboration with Merlin Communications, is now offering a solution to interference for Asia-Pacific satellite operators: satellite Interference Detection (satID).
