Bangladesh's third largest mobile network provider by active users, Robi Axiata, has signed a bilateral agreement to share transmission network infrastructure with Summit Communications. Malaysian-backed Robi has entered into a series of bilateral network sharing deals, the first in October 2009 with rival cellular provider Airtel Bangladesh (then known as Warid Bangladesh), and another in February 2010 with market leader GrameenPhone, and in October 2011 it reached a similar agreement with WiMAX operator Qubee. In late-October 2012 Robi inked another bilateral deal with Fiber@Home, covering transmission network sharing.
