Taiwan-based mobile service provider Chunghwa Telecom does not plan to extend its contract with NTDTV (New Tang Dynasty TV), slated to expire in August 2011. This is because the ST-2 satellite lacks adequate broadband capacity to support NTDTV signals. Arianespace launched the country's second communications satellite (ST-2) from the French Guiana on May 20.
