Japanese mobile operator NTT DOCOMO has signed up to the 5G Alliance for Connected Industries and Automation (5G-ACIA), as part of wider plans to advance the use of fifth-generation technologies in the manufacturing sector, writes JCN Newswire. 5G-ACIA is described as a 'global initiative encompassing some 50 companies from diverse industries around the world, including the telecommunication and manufacturing sectors'.
