Australia's Telstra has announced that from tomorrow (30 September) it will introduce a new fixed-wireless 5G offering, Telstra 5G Home Internet', via its 5G network which is now available in 'over 1,000 suburbs and 53 cities and towns around the nation'. According to the operator, there will be a 'targeted, invitation only launch at first to eligible customers', with this strategy being followed so as to ensure the telco has 'the right service available to those who need it'. However, over the course of the next twelve months it plans to scale up access. In terms of pricing, Telstra has confirmed that the service will cost AUD85 (US$60) per month for a plan that includes 500GB of data per month and typical download speeds of between 50Mbps and 300Mbps.
